This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies with the PLANNING DESIGN CONSTRUCTION BRANCH, NAVFAC MIDLANT Great Lakes, IL. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Coordinating/providing technical and administrative guidance in preparing architectural/engineering cost estimates for drawings and specifications, as well as construction materials and associated costs, for new capital improvement projects and major renovations; 2) Monitoring the use of assigned project resources to determine if the project is tracking as planned or corrective action(s) should be taken; 3) Providing recommendations for resolving cost issues due to design errors, unforeseen conditions or changes; 4) Preparing and presenting briefs related to costs, design analysis, scopes of work, contract negotiations, etc.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
