Description:

The FBI's Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking highly qualified procurement attorneys with federal procurement/contract law experience to join its exciting and challenging legal practice. This unit handles all aspects of the federal procurement process, including acquisition planning, award determinations, protests, contract administration, and claims resolution. It also provides comprehensive fiscal law advice and advises on facilities/real estate issues and environmental concerns.

Requirements:

Basic Requirement: Possess a law degree from an accredited American Bar Association law school; and Proof of active membership and good standing with any U. S. jurisdiction bar association Experience in the following are preferable: Construction contracts; Environmental law (to support the agency's acquisition of goods and services through the use of sustainable environmental practices); Forums such as the Court of Federal Claims, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, or the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals. The ideal candidate will possess three years of substantive experience in procurement/government contracts law and have some experience in environmental law.

Positive Education Requirement: This position has a specific education requirement; all applicants must verify completion of this basic requirement by submitting both proof of JD degree and proof of good standing with a bar within a US jurisdiction. Education: Applicant must possess a J.D. degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (or have a LLM degree or other graduate law school degree in addition to a J.D.) and be an active member of the bar (any US jurisdiction).

GS-14: Applicants applying for the Gs-14 must have 2.5 or more years post J.D. attorney experience.
GS-15: Applicants applying for the GS-15 must have 4 or more years of post J.D. attorney experience.
