Description:

Requirements:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying software and electronic engineering principles to the design of data link networks and identifies, investigates and resolves technical issues; 2) Planning and evaluating architectural design, reviews system performance, and identifies technical risks and associated ways to mitigate those risks;
3) Analyzing system design problems and developing plans, including conducting and directing research and development; and
4) Preparing design proposals to reflect cost, time and alternative solutions.

Applicant should ideally also have experience/knowledge in:
  • Working knowledge of local and wide-area network systems and technology such as Network protocols (ie. TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP), and network hardware
  • Working knowledge of applying engineering principles to Antenna and Radio Frequency modeling
  • Working knowledge of Operating Radio Frequency communications and/ or radios
  • Working knowledge of JREAP, TTNT, MADL, J-Voice, and maritime links
