This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Uintah and Ouray Agency in Fort Duchesne, Utah.This is a Bargaining Unit position, for more information see What are bargaining units?
Requirements:
The following shows the amounts of education and/or experience required to qualify for positions covered by this standard.Grade 05: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-04 level OR 4 years of education above high school
Specialized Experience: Examples of specialized experience may include, but are not limited to; providing administrative and clerical support services to include updating record information, reconciling irrigation accounts, prebilling, making travel arrangements, typing correspondence, and interacting with the public.
Grade(6): One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Specialized Experience GS-05: Examples of specialized experience may include, but are not limited to; providing administrative and clerical support services to include information resource management, maintaining irrigation office files consistent with Bureau policies and the ability to read and plot land descriptions.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472).
