Please reference the Education section of this announcement to review the DAU Faculty Pay Band E (AD-30) Minimum Education and Specialized Experience Requirements.To qualify for this position at the Pay Band E (AD-30) level, you must demonstrate in your resume/application that you possess the required years of specialized experience equivalent at a minimum, to the General Schedule (GS) GS-14 (or equivalent).The following is specialized experience that must be demonstrated in your resume:
  1. Experience Requirement: A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in senior Acquisition Program Management positions, unless waived by the university President. Ten (10) or more years of experience in this functional area is highly desired.
  2. Significant senior leadership experience may be federal or industry equivalent with major acquisition programs. Examples include positions of Program Executive Officer (PEO); Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager of a major acquisition program.
  3. Acquisition Certification Requirement: The incumbent requires advanced Certification in Program Management in accordance with Defense Acquisition Workforce career field standards. Other acquisition career fields advanced certifications are acceptable if they accompany sustantial experience in acquisition program management.     Senior Leader Qualifications:
  4. Leading Change: This core qualification involves the ability to bring about strategic change, both within and outside the organization, to meet organizational goals. This requires the ability to build strategic partnerships and trust relationships with senior leaders from all organizations within their area of responsibility, building a shared organizational vision, strategic planning, and the ability to implement it in a continuously changing environment. The tenets of this qualification include but are not limited to Creativity, Flexibility, Resilience, Strategic Thinking and Vision.
  5. Leading People: This core qualification involves the ability to lead people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Inherent to this core qualification is the ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts. The tenets of this qualification include but are not limited to conflict management, leveraging diversity, developing others and building high performance teams.
  6. Results Driven: This core qualification involves the ability to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. Inherent to this core qualification is the ability to make decisions that produce high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems, and calculating risks. The tenets of this qualification include but are not limited to accountability, customer service, decisiveness, entrepreneurship, problem solving and technical credibility.
  7. Business Acumen: This core qualification involves the ability to manage human, financial, and information resources strategically. The tenets of this qualification include but are not limited to financial management, human capital management and technology management. Knowledge and application of best and future business practices and tools.
  8. Enterprise Perspective/Building Coalitions: This core qualification involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals. The tenets of this qualification include but are not limited to partnering, political savvy and influencing or negotiating. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

    VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
