This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing an outreach program to inform and educate the scientific community and others about the directorate's research and development programs.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS 13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
- Mastery of computer-based web page design applications, such as Dreamweaver and social media platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Software Application Suite and SharePoint 7.0 and higher in order to coordinate and manage department internet website.
- Experience (2+ years) in planning, coordinating and implementing outreach activities in the public and government domain in order to educate customers and stakeholders about research and development opportunities for prospective performers and in support of Department strategic investments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Department of Defense civilian/military executive-level protocol and practices in order to prepare and coordinate outreach and engagement events and ensure compliance with established policy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition regulations and fundamentals in order to serve as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contracts supporting the Department's strategic communications, outreach and STEM engagement programs.
- Demonstrated skills and ability in both written and oral communications, analysis, and interpersonal relations with ability to respond orally to comments and questions, in order to logically and effectively explain programs, functions, and activities and advocate an understanding of assigned programs.
You may qualify at the GS 12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A.
