THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This National Guard position is for a TITLE 5 FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR (MI 127 CES), Position Description Number T6304000 and is part of the MI 127 Wing, National Guard.

Minimum Time Required:18 Months
- Thorough knowledge of facility layouts (including research and/or industrial complexes) and the location and operation of alarm/suppression control panels, hydrants, utility shutoffs, and suppression systems (including special extinguishing agents and systems).
- Knowledge of recognized standards covering fire protection and prevention techniques and procedures; agency and installation manuals, rules, and regulations; and federal, state, and local fire protection/prevention ordinances and building codes.
- Thorough knowledge of the physical configuration of a variety of large or complex aircraft and the operational characteristics of associated systems and mechanisms.
- Detailed knowledge of design, construction, utilization, and contents of aircraft.
- Knowledge of the theory of fire propagation and progression and the application of accepted techniques and principles to eliminate/reduce the hazards in a specialized environment where there is a high fire expectancy and potential for severity.
- Skill and ability to develop and conduct fire prevention training, education, and information programs for a variety of client groups.
