Requirements:
To qualify for the Accounting Manager, PG - 0510 - 15 , you must meet the following requirements:Specialized Experience for the PG-15 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at the PG-14 (or equivalent) level or higher. The specialized experience for this position is identified as: Experience managing and supervising assigned staff Providing professional accounting and finance knowledge and expertise to subordinate work units and formulates specific guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure accounting and budget records are maintained according to generally accepted accounting theories, principles, and practices; Ensuring internal controls are in place and effective for maintaining the integrity of accounting records; Establishing performance standards and goals; reviewing and approving budget estimates and financial plans. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
