THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is a WS-8852-09 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0733000 in FAC 21Q000 and is part of the MO 139th Airlift Wing.
APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is a Permanent Excepted Service position. This is a non-bargaining position.

Requirements:
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be AFSC qualified within 12 months from date of appointment.
Maximum Military Grade: MSgt (E-7)
Minimum Military Grade:TSgt (E-6) immediately promotable to MSgt (E-7)
Enlisted - AFSC 2A3XX, 2A590, 2A5X1, 2A5X4, 2A6XX, 2A8X1, 2A8X2C, 2A8X1C or 2A8X1E
Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which demonstrates your ability to provide technical assistance and organize assignments for subordinates; estimate materials and manpower needed for specific jobs; read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and technical publications; and maintain records and reports.
WS-09 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 36 months of specialized experience which demonstrates your ability to plan and organize work assignments directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors. Experience reviewing work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines; knowledge of various lines of work performed by the function and associated support organizations and dealing effectively with other people. Experience supervising through subordinate supervisors, or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced aby the ability to communicate, skill at applying human relations techniques, knowledge of general supervisory concepts, knowledge of shop processes; and adapt existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
Must currently hold or have held AFSC 2AXXX.
