This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Expert knowledge of national defense, national nuclear policy, and doctrine with respect to U.S. nuclear weapon physical security issues in order to provide expert advice to DoD/Agency officials;
- Expert knowledge of risk management concepts and processes as it relates to U.S. and NATO nuclear physical security system management;
- Expert knowledge of the DoD Force on Force program and the role of program evaluation in the DoD nuclear physical security program;
- Expert knowledge of nuclear physical security requirements at the DoD, NATO and Service levels in order to formulate policies/guidelines, make decision and/or recommendation that align with agency/customer needs, and;
- Expert knowledge of nuclear safety, security, reliability, inspection and exercise programs in order to serve as the subject matter expert on all things related to the security of the nuclear stockpile. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
