Description:

This position is in Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM); Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSTRI); Resources Management Division (RMD); Contracts Management Branch. About the Office of Land and Emergency Management | US EPA.

This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Requirements:

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as experience in the development of methodologies/assumptions for conducting special projects designed to evaluate the effectiveness of national and regional policy/program efforts to meet strategic program goals.

Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of program management techniques
  • Knowledge of Superfund remedial program
  • Knowledge of EPA and Federal Government procurement regulations
  • Ability to evaluate program operations
  • Ability to develop strategies and guidance to support obtaining services for remediation activities
  • Knowledge in development of methodologies/assumptions for conducting special projects designed to evaluate the effectiveness of national and regional policy/program efforts
  • Skill in oral communication
  • Ability to manage and direct team efforts
  • Knowledge of the federal procurement process
  • Skill to evaluate and assess contract performance using measures and metrics

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
