The Commissary Contractor Monitor conducts quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary stocking, order-writing, custodial, receiving, holding and/or other contracted services performed in a commissary. Specific assignments vary by individual store and store management requirements.Requirements:
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, superior academic achievement, or a combination of experience and education to qualify. When using education to meet qualifications you must submit transcripts. See Required Documents for more information.Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying experience include:
- Conducting quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary or retail grocery contracted services.
- Applying retail grocery store administration policies and procedures as they relate to established contracts.
- Monitoring vendors and/or contractors in a retail setting to ensure proper inventory.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: - Physical requirements: (1) Work includes long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching and reaching. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire.
- Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. - For GS-6: You must have 52 weeks of Federal service at or equivalent to GS-5.
