About the Position: This is a remote position with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, Programs and Project Management Division, Program Management Branch located in Galveston, TX.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees


In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.

Specialized Experience GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Monitoring the execution of a civil works program and budget with different sources and types of funding; 2) Preparing a variety of reports, Analyzing and evaluating continuing changes in program plans, and funding. 3) Coordinating current year resources for congressional appropriations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 12 months by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. This position may be made permanent without further competition.

Will require signing of remote work agreement. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
