The Opportunity

This position will provide compensation subject matter expertise for Medical Devices divisions.

What You’ll Work On

  • Consult with BHR Directors/Managers, Area/Local Compensation & Benefits colleagues, Practice Centers, HRTS/Global HR Services to provide guidance on compensation philosophy, policies, and best practices.
  • Manages compensation-related projects, conducts complex analysis, and develops associated recommendations through analysis insights and develop detailed summaries. Creates concise executive summaries, presents recommendations, and provides compensation consulting services to support business needs. Securing key stakeholder alignment in a complex matrixed environment throughout all project stages is critical.
  • Lead internal/external data analysis, interpret findings, develop, and present proposals/recommendations to Senior Leadership, Practice Centers and BHR.
  • Assist with the global merit planning process including project management, testing, stakeholder management and compensation planning.
  • Develop executive level promotional and/or external hire recommendations.
  • Lead bonus plan configuration and data audits in Workday; provide guidance to Area Compensation & Benefits on compensation plan configuration best practices.
  • Provide Project Management and oversight for Annual Compensation Program Administration. Develop and implement project plans related to Annual Compensation Programs and ad hoc projects.
  • Develop and deliver compensation training to BHR, TA and other HR areas.
  • Assist with compensation program design, communication, and implementation.
  • May provide direction and guidance to Compensation Specialists/Analysts within Practice Center (nonsupervisory).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • 8+ years overall HR and project/program management experience
  • 5+ years compensation analytical/consulting experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational and time management, problem-solving, influencing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of rewards theory, trends, best practices, laws/regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through teams and interact at all organizational levels including key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities (conceptual and quantitative) and ability to communicate persuasively in person and in writing with diverse stakeholders to creatively resolve complex problems, anticipate needs, and recommend or produce best solutions for the business.
  • Identifies and resolves complex strategic problems in a timely manner; synthesizes complex and diverse information; collects and researches data; uses feedback to modify designs; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics; demonstrates high level attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently to develop project plans, perform critical path analysis, drive and manage mid/large scale projects, while collaborating with a large variety of stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment; must be a self-starter.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish relationships based on trust and influence diverse stakeholders; approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure.
  • Ability to quickly reprioritize work based on new requests while still completing core project work on schedule. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities and project timelines, anticipate needs and determine next steps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or MBA) in HR, Project Management, or relevant field
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
  • Consulting experience
  • Experience designing compensation plans and market pricing/benchmarking preferred
  • Experience in healthcare industry or global organization preferred

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
