Description:
Our busy automotive group is looking for an Auto Porter to support the day-to-day operations of the automotive dealership. This role involves moving vehicles, posting cars, ordering parts, running errands, and providing general assistance to various departments as needed. The ideal candidate should have a can-do attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:- Help move vehicles throughout the car dealership property as directed by the service advisor or service department technicians
- Assure car porter / lot attendant areas are free from debris
- Work with the auto group service advisor to complete tasks such as keeping track of key tasks, cleaning cars, driving vehicles from service stalls, following dealership display standards, fielding customer requests, and other assigned duties
- Move vehicles from the service drive and ensure they are ready for customers to pick up
- Maintain a professional attitude and greet customers with a smile
- Take photos of vehicles and post them for advertising purposes
- Preferred high school graduate or GED recipient
- Valid state driver’s license and good driving record are a must
- Great customer service and communication skills necessary
- Completion of the mandatory background check before employment
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry
- Ability to drive and maneuver different types of vehicles, including manual transmission if required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (e.g., tires, equipment) as needed
