In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the qualification requirements - please be sure to include this information in your resume. No assumptions will be made about your experience.You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience with management programs requiring multiple-use management practices and methods of a variety of functions and interacting with all levels of the agency; accomplishing work through others, e.g., project manager, team or project lead, etc.; experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships to achieve goals and objectives; in conducting oral briefings and presentations; in preparing reports which identify, analyze and integrate diverse data, present findings and conclusions, and provide alternatives and/or recommendations (reports often weigh and balance diverse opinions with agency requirements and technical needs; in making clear, well-reasoned decisions balancing diverse opinions; and working with organizational practices and procedures.)
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
