No assumptions will be made about your experience.You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: provide leadership and supervision to staff that handles work in: Public Land and Realty activities involving the acquisition, disposal, or use and occupancy of public lands, including Federal and State land, mineral and environmental laws, regulations, policies and procedures; create policy and guidance that meets State/Region/National standards; provide leadership and direction to implement and carryout mission goals, objectives, and strategies for a State, Region, or District regarding Public Land and Realty activities; work with various audiences (federal agencies, the public, private sector, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders) to work on issues regarding federal and state lands.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
