This position is located in the Washington, DC Commuting Area in the Bureau for Global Health (GH), the Office of HIV/AIDS (GH/OHA), Strategic Information, Evaluation and Informatics Division (SIEI), Health Informatics Branch, at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Specialized Experience:
GS-14: In addition to the Education requirement and Selective Placement Factor, you MUST have one year of specialized experience is required that is equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position include: a) supporting technical/program teams at HQ and country level on digital health, health analytics platforms, health or social welfare information systems for international HIV/AIDS and global health programs; AND (b) providing technical guidance for health information system improvement, data management, and digital health for international HIV/AIDS and global health programs; AND (c) contributing to creating policies, strategies, and plans for international HIV/AIDS and global health programs in health information systems, digital health, and data management..
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, relevant to the duties of the position to be filled, including volunteer experience.
CTAP/ICTAP candidates will be referred to the selecting official if they are found well qualified. Well-qualified means an eligible employee who possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities which clearly exceed the minimum requirements of the position.
