Are you a graduating student or a recent grad? Join our Pathways Recent Graduate Program! This one-year program offers professional and technical training, mentoring and developmental opportunities.

You will receive training and developmental assignments designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to perform at the target position (Building Management Specialist, GS-12).

Location of position: Metropolitan Service Center, National Capital Region, Springfield, VA

    The GS-09 salary range starts at $68,405per year.

    If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

    To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience assisting in the management of a commercial office building (or equivalent non-housing high rise building) consisting of building mechanical system (i.e., HVAC, alarm systems, elevators, etc.). This experience typically includes:

  • Coordinating repair and/or alteration projects;
Maintaining customer satisfaction programs that include feedback mechanisms used to evaluate the effectiveness of services provided; Gathering data to assist with the development of operating budgets; and Inspecting contractor performance

OR

A master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

An LL.B. or J.D., if related
