Requirements:

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp.

Basic Requirement:

A full 4-year course of study that meets all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in the subject-matter field of the position to be filled.

Four years of experience that provided a knowledge of the basic principles, theories, practices, techniques, and terminology of a discipline or subject-matter field; an understanding of the standard methods, procedures, and techniques of research and analysis in the subject-matter field; and where appropriate, ability to read and comprehend nontechnical material in one or more foreign languages. Such experience must have been equivalent to that which would have been gained through a 4-year college curriculum.

A combination of education and experience as described above.
Specialized Experience:
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience includes developing and implementing procedures; including improving, receiving, and processing information for documents such as manuals, guides, and training material. Developing, updating, and maintaining SharePoint and related master documents to include the development and training of guidance templates. Coordinating with other offices such as the Office of General Counsel and Operations; initiating and tracking tasks and files, preparing memorandums, and coordinating responses. Performing comprehensive research (both electronically and manually), indexing, and abstracting services in one or more subject areas. Developing, updating, and maintaining a comprehensive database and electronic library for technical information to include new products and services, outreach and publicity programs and special events.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP): You must be well qualified for the position to receive special selection priority under the ICTAP.
