This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current PE license with your email application to be considered for this position.In addition to the basic requirements and selective placement factor for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of a wide range of engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, or structural), operating conditions, and design approaches to provide expert advice on complex projects; 2) Managing projects in a timely manner to accomplish objectives within resource constraints; 3) Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and manufactures manuals and schematic instructions; 4) Independently planning, organizing, and scheduling work to meet deadlines; 5) Facilitating interaction and communication between the client and other engineering team members; and 6) Making oral and written technical reports and presentations to management in a clear, concise, and effective manner Note: This information must be fully supported in your resume.
