Description:

This position is in the Division of Market Oversight (DMO), in the Product and Market Analytics Branch (PMAB) at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), in Washington, D.C. PMAB is responsible for the review of the terms and conditions of futures, options, and swap contracts, as well as new exchange applications to determine their conformance with the economic and other requirements under the Commodity Exchange Act and the Commission's rules and policies.

Requirements:

To Qualify at the CT-12 level, applicants should have year of specialized experience at the CT/GS-11 grade level or equivalent.

Specialized experience is defined as:

Experience in commodity market analysis, including derivatives (futures, options, swaps). Conducting commodity market research, including interviews with market participants and groups. Experience in using financial and commodity data platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, Platts, Argus, etc) to conduct market and/or contract analysis.

To Qualify at the CT-13 level, applicants should have one year of specialized experience at the CT/GS-12 level or equivalent.

Specialized experience is defined as:

Experience in leading commodity market analysis, including derivatives (futures, options, swaps). Experience in coordinating and conducting commodity market research, including interviews with market participants and groups. Experience using analytic tools such as Excel, SAS, Python, etc. to complete economic review and analysis.

Selections will be made at the CT-12 and CT-13 grade levels.
