In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of experience defined as: managing large, technically complex, and/or mega-projects in the civil works programs; leading and establishing authoritative guidance and direction ensuring that program and project execution is consistent with agency policies; representing the organization at meetings, workshops, conferences, and in dealings with Federal, State, and local officials and other stakeholders; experience in providing strategic guidance and direction for staff establishing execution goals for a multi-year program and ensuring long range issues are identified and addressed; analyzing workload to workforce and applying risk-based decision making in organizational changes; performing the full-range of personnel activities including evaluating performance, deciding disciplinary actions, approving personnel actions, and recruiting new talent.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
