The position is located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), JMD, HR, Business Management and Special Programs Staff. JMD provides senior management officials with advice relating to basic Department policy for budget and financial management, human resources management and training, procurement, ethics, equal employment opportunity, information processing, events, telecommunications, security, and all matters pertaining to organization, management, and administration.Requirements:
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Financial Management Specialist at (GS-0501-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level (GS-14), to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Providing financial policy, guidance, or oversight to support an organization; 2) Analyzing financial resources to resolve any issues of the budget execution process; and 3) Planning, organizing, justifying, or executing a programs budget.
