This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Communications (OCOM). The incumbent is responsible for managing the visual brand identity of the agency.Requirements:
Basic Entry Requirements: Individual Occupational Requirements Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. Some positions may also require subject-matter knowledge of medicine, science, or technical equipment. Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis. or Experience Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means. Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

To qualify at the GS-11 level, specialized experience must be at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Specialized experience is defined as: Assisted in providing illustration, graphic design, motion graphic and other visual information support to develop a variety of communications products distributed across multiple digital platforms. Produced visual information products for diverse internal and external audiences. Participated in projects onsite and virtually in cross-collaboration with stakeholders in areas of brand management, graphic design and digital content creation.
To qualify at the GS-12 level, specialized experience must be at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Specialized experience is defined as: Independently provided illustration, graphic design, motion graphic and other visual information support to develop a variety of communications products distributed across multiple digital platforms. Researched, planned, wrote and produced visual information products for diverse internal and external audiences, often requiring considerable originality, creativity, critical thinking and acute understanding of target audiences. Managed projects onsite and virtually in cross-collaboration with stakeholders in areas of brand management, graphic design and digital content creation.
