Description:

This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Alaska Region, Office of the Deputy Regional Director-Trust Services, Branch of Titles and Records in Anchorage, Alaska.
NOTE: TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.

NOTE: THE PAY FLEXIBILITIES OF A BONUS MAY BE AUTHORIZED, PENDING AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND MANAGEMENT APPROVAL.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, GS-0301).

GS-13: I have at least one year of specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-12 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience is examining title documents for accuracy and completeness; interpretation of survey data; curing title by preparation of administrative corrections and modifications; issuing title status reports; and Trust Asset and Accounting Management System (TAAMS) procedures; initiating personnel actions for hiring, terminating, promoting, and training subordinate staff; performance management including writing performance standards and rating and assessing subordinate staff; human resource management, leadership, and performance management; responsibilities of program management and planning; responsibilities in planning and management budget formulation.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.

Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472).
