Description:

The primary purpose of the Visual Information Specialist is to grasp the narrative behind data, preparing materials to share with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, while also conducting user research and developing reports to optimize the National Gallery's digital platforms and programs by identifying trends and opportunities.

Requirements:

Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-2210-14. A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience is at least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, designing digital products for a museum or cultural institution.

Those applicants who meet the minimum qualification requirements will be evaluated against these factors to determine the best-qualified candidates.

1. Knowledge of data strategy, concepts and functions.

2. Knowledge of data design and development.

3. Ability to manage all aspects of a program, including design, research, administration, and content creation.

4. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, reporting on findings, and training users on use of data tools.
