Description:

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO), Assistant Director Logistics. The Logistics Management Specialist is responsible for management, coordination, and control of inventory and systems of inventory management and warehouse operations for the OCSO. The Specialist manages, regulates, coordinates and exercises control over supplies, equipment and other material within the logistics directorate.

Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, an applicant's one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for successful job performance.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include the following types of tasks performed on a regular and recurring basis:

Collecting, analyzing, and providing recommendations to effectively assess inventory management programs and/or operations; Coordinating with staff and leadership to resolve logistics operation issues; Recommending actions and initiatives to enhance logistics management effectiveness; Planning, evaluating, and recommending methods to complete a variety of Logistics Management support functions such as: inventory, supply chain, maintenance, facility, or equipment ; and Analyzing and applying contracting principles and methods, in order to participate in the preparation of project management contract functions;

To qualify at the GS-12 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-113 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include the following types of tasks performed on a regular and recurring basis:

Coordinating and direct project management over logistics operations; Providing logistics support, planning, and scheduling to customers; and Conducting a variety of logistics planning and supply chain support functions, such as supply management, material management, order fulfillment, storage and distribution, acquisition, procurement, etc.
