INTERESTED CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE A COVER LETTER, A RESUME, AND LAW SCHOOL AND UNDERGRADUATE TRANSCRIPTS. FAILURE TO INCLUDE ALL REQUESTED DOCUMENTS WILL RESULT IN CANDIDATES NOT BEING CONSIDERED. Two (2) writing samples will also be separately required if selected for an interview.

It is highly preferable for candidates to have taken the bar exam prior to commencing their clerkships, which are anticipated to start in the Fall of 2025. Law Clerks are appointed for a 14 month term prior to passing the bar exam – the appointment cannot under any circumstances exceed 14 months and cannot be extended. This means that the appointee must pass the bar exam before the 14-month period ends. Once admitted to the bar of any state, the appointee’s position title is converted to Attorney Advisor.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.

Please do not cut and paste the position description, specialized experience, or occupational assessment questionnaire from this announcement into your resume, as this will not be considered a demonstration of your qualifications for this position.
