This position is located, in the Golf Branch, Food and Beverage Division, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department, Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois. The incumbent is responsible for the day to day operation of this food and beverage program under the direct supervision of the Golf Branch Manager.Requirements:

Knowledge of management procedures and general business practices related to the operational management of food and beverage programs, and effective utilization of restaurant/bar facilities and equipment. The incumbent must know proper menu and recipe preparation. Recipes should be used for standard items and should be reviewed periodically. Safety and sanitation rules must be followed. All Navy regulations concerning the food and beverage operations including purchasing, food preparation, and inventory control must be understood. Costing out food and beverages is required. Incumbent must have knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g. word, excel, power point, outlook). Incumbent must have the ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
